2018 Pro Schedule
2018 Available Classes
This is the 2018 FLY Amateur National taking place at the National Track in Praire City SRVA, Home of the Hangtown AMA National in Rancho Cordova, California October 3rd through October 7th.
This year's 2018 FLY Amateur National will be compacted into a 4 Day Event. Thursday, October 4th Practice Day. Racing Starts Friday, October 5th and continues until Sunday Oct 7th. The idea is to have more people that don't have to take off as much work and the kids don't have to miss as much school for the event. Cutting the days down for the event does not mean we are cutting any of our activities out or the enthusiasm and elation associated with Championship racing. The 2018 FLY Amateur National will be as good as it has been in the past and will still have a 3 moto format.
AMP is adding a new set of classes for the 2018 Fly Amateur National. These new classes are called "Full Time Student Classes". The full time student classification will include the 85cc, 250cc Novice, 250cc Intermediate, 450cc Novice, and 450cc Intermediate classes. This new group of classes is designed to allow students racing while enrolled full time in traditional public schools an opportunity to win an Amateur National title, not taking away or detracting from students utilizing alternative education programs. Students that are home schooled and not enrolled in the public school system are not be eligible to race the "full time" set of classes. There will not be a "Full Time Student" Thursday practice or "Full Time Student" Friday motos. We will run a short morning practice Saturday at 7:30 am for these riders. For the overall title, awards and prizes, Full Time Student classes will have a two moto format rather than a 3 moto format. Saturday will be moto one and Sunday moto two. Awards and prizes will be the same as all other classes raced at the Fly Amateur National. Again, we are doing this for the students that can’t take the time away from school to race but will still have a chance to win an Amateur National title. These students can still sign up and race any of the other classes at the Fly Amateur National if they wish. Sign up on-line or at the event for any of the classes.
